What started in 1998 as a freelance hunting guide service in the Erongo Mountains has grown into a passion for nature and hunting.

Situated on the banks of the Kanona river, overlooking the Erongo Mountains, Kanona Safari Ranch specialises in rifle and bow hunting and is home to over 25 game species such as Greater Kudu, Gemsbok, Waterbuck, Warthog, Cape Eland, Nyala, Red Hartebeest, Blue & Black Wildebeest, Impala, Springbok, Zebra Geraffe, Damara Dik-dik, Klipspringer, Brown Hyena as well as Leopard, just to mention a few.

The beauty of the Erongo Mountains

The ranch is approximately 12000 acres and is strategically located in an advantageous position to favourable tourist destinations such as Swakopmund, Namibia’s premier holiday resort and the internationally known Etosha National Park.

Here, you can experience a beautiful scenery of the Erongo mountains, interesting rock engravings & rock paintings telling the story of a historic culture once making a living in the mountains.

Nature & Wildlife

We have dry riverbeds running through the farm, dense bushy areas and the beautiful Erongo mountain range surrounding part of the farm. On the deck of a thatched lapa you overlook waterholes, the soft riverbed, big trees in the back and the Erongo Mountains, creating a natural frame to this unique feeling of tranquillity.

You will experience an African weather, which will be pleasantly warm & sunny during the day, chilly at night and in the early mornings.
