Hunting Experiences
The Trophy hunting season in Namibia opens on 1 February and closes 30th November each year. The best months to hunt is between April and November, just after the rainy season. Permits are issued by the Ministry of Environment Forestry & Tourism only and a maximum of two trophies per species may be harvested, per hunting client, per permit.
The ranch is approx. 12000 acres of hunting area where you can find different species of game.
At Kanona Safari Ranch, our team of professional hunting guides Wilhelm Alweendo & Stephanus Khamuxab are always available to make your hunt as memorable as possible.
At Kanona Safari Ranch, you can hunt a variety of plain game species and wild cats including:

Baboon, Blesbuck, Black wildebeest, Blue wildebeest, Brown hyena, Burchell zebra, Caracal, Cheetah, Damara dik dik, Duiker, Eland, Giraffe, Mountain Zebra, Common Impala, Jackal, Klipspringer, Kudu, Leopard, Nyala, Oryx, Ostrich, Red hartebeest, Sable, Springbuck, Steen buck, Warthog and Waterbuck.
Our 2nd hunting area is approximately 13000 acres fully game fenced and a 45 minutes’ drive from our main lodge.

We encourage you to bring your own riffle which you are most comfortable and proficient using. If you are unable to or do not wish to travel with your own firearm, we offer a .308 and 30 06 for hire should you need to make use of that service.
Wounded animals will be paid in full
Animals wounded & not recovered will count as one of animals on package.
